UML modeling tools reviews OpenOffice org Draw

SUN, 01 FEB 2009

"OpenOffice.org Draw is a vector graphics editor and if part of the OpenOffice.org office suite" -- OpenOffice.org Draw's wikipedia entry.

For those who have already used it, this won't be news. But, OpenOffice.org Draw is still often mentioned in forums when people ask about UML modeling tools. Except for the flowchart elements, you can't do a lot related to UML diagrams. And even for the flowchart, you'll have to manually draw the initial and final nodes.

OpenOffice.org Draw is more comparable to Kivio, which is part of the KOffice integrated office suite.

They both aren't UML modeling tools, but I personally prefer Kivio for simple diagrams. You can try them and decide by yourself.
