Software Development with Linux

An introduction to Git

WED, 01 SEP 2010

Git is a really interesting piece of software.  If you've been following either the Linux kernel development world or the source control world, you have necessarily heard of it.  Well, if you've been doing any kind of Linux software development, you must have heard of it.  But have you already used it?

If you've never used it, the recent "Introduction to Git" webinar from the Linux Foundation will gives you a nice (but really short) overview of where Git came from, what were the requirements when it was designed, and a short but descriptive real usage example.  All this done by James Bottomley, the SCSI subsystem maintainer for Linux.
