Subversion Clients Review RapidSVN

MON, 01 FEB 2010

For the first installment in this Subversion Clients Review series, I decided to take a look at RapidSVN.
"RapidSVN is a cross-platform GUI front-end for the Subversion revision system written in C++ using the wxWidgets framework."
I've not seen much Subversion functions not available from the GUI.  You can manage the properties of the files, cleanup your repository, etc.

For some functions, like diff, you'll need to configure RapidSVN to use your preferred diff utility.  I would have appreciated it if a basic diff viewer was included.  Same thing for the "edit" and "merge" menu items, you need to configure external programs.

If you want to configure it for your need, RapidSVN isn't a bad option.  But if you're looking for a "complete" solution, it may not be for you.
